Silverstream Spin

The Silverstream Spin is a distinctive trail running event taking place in Dunedin on 9 November 2024. This event features a unique format where participants determine their running distance by rolling a dice, leading to an unpredictable and engaging experience.

The course consists of six different technical single-track loops, showcasing a diverse range of terrain including challenging climbs, native bush, subalpine ridges, and technical descents. Participants will encounter mud and stream crossings, all while enjoying scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The event emphasizes self-sufficiency, as it is self-supported throughout.

Competitors aim to be the first to complete three loops, with a special prize for participants who roll three sixes during their turns. Additionally, attendees have the option to camp at a picturesque location over the weekend, with a koha system in place to cover camping and other expenses. This event not only promotes physical activity but also fosters a sense of community among participants.
