The Southern Lakes Ultra is a multi-day ultra marathon taking place from 21 February to 1 March 2025 in Central Otago, New Zealand. This event consists of six stages, covering approximately 250 kilometers through diverse and picturesque landscapes.
Participants will begin their journey on the shores of the Southern Lakes, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and clear waters. The course features a variety of terrains, including rivers, valleys, and forests, offering a unique blend of natural beauty. Runners will experience climbs to peaks with stunning views, pass by waterfalls, and traverse through historic gold mining towns.
The route culminates in Queenstown, known as the Adventure Capital of the World.
