The Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon will take place on 10 May 2025 in the Marlborough region, renowned for its vineyards and wine production. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience the picturesque landscape, characterized by rows of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes.
The course features 21 kilometers of predominantly flat terrain, with short sections of uneven ground and less than 4 kilometers on sealed roads. Participants will navigate through the scenic vineyards, traverse over short stop banks, and run alongside the Wairau River, providing a visually striking backdrop for the race.
In addition to the half marathon, there is a 12-kilometer option, both of which can be completed by running or walking. The hybrid format allows participants to alternate between running and walking at their discretion, catering to a range of preferences. This event not only highlights the natural beauty of the region but also celebrates the local viticulture. Post-race amenities may include opportunities to sample local wines and enjoy the surrounding vineyard atmosphere.
