The Run Walk Play event, slated for 13 April 2025, caps off a series of races happening bi-weekly on Sunday mornings at Pohlen Park, Matamata. The event incorporates a race for junior participants, up to 10 years old, and a two-lap course around the semi-rural, park-like environment of Pohlen Park and Neil Algar Reserve.
The series is facilitated by Project Play, a subgroup of Matamata Futures Inc. The funds raised from these races will contribute to the construction of a new playground at Matamata Domain.
The Run Walk Play series has had previous events, with the most recent one being on 30 March 2025. The event presents various distances, including a Kids’ Dash.
