Rabbit Island Trails

The Waimea Harriers Rabbit Island Trails event is scheduled for 5 July 2025. The race, which features multiple courses, is well-suited for participants of varying ages and skill levels. A separate track is also available for younger competitors.

The racing event takes off from the Totara Park Picnic Area, which also serves as the finish line. This venue is renowned for its scenic beauty, providing participants with a unique running experience.

Organized as a part of the Harriers Winter Programme, the event is open to all at no charge. However, participants are encouraged to become members of either the Waimea Harriers or Athletics Nelson, both reputable running clubs in the region.

The event kicks off at 2.30pm, with registration opening at 1.45pm. The event is overseen by the Waimea Harriers, a distinguished organizing body with a history of successful running events.
