“Mid-week bash”
Fornightly mid-week group run/bike/climb.
5.45pm 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Run: 10km. Largely Wither Hills based.
Bike: 20-30km. Largely Wither Hills Mountain Bike Park.
Climb: Top rope, sport, trad. Rarangi and Monkey Bay.
Focus on taking it steady over racing and enjoyment over timing/splits.
“Monthly Mission”
Monthly group run/bike/climb.
9am Last Sunday of the month.
Run: 20-40km.
Bike: 40-80km
Climb: Top rope, sport, trad.
Heading further afield to the peaks that tower above the Wairau plains. Were lucky to have Richmond Ranges, Nelson Lakes and the Sounds within reach.
Examples: Mt Fishtail, Mt Robert, Queen Charlotte track.
This is the core of the group. A bountiful supply of adventure and endurance in the shape of trails, nature, mountains, rivers, lakes, ocean and bush.
Again, emphasis on completion rather than speed and having a good time rather than suffering
