Maunga Mayhem OCR

Maunga Mayhem is a family-oriented obstacle adventure race set in the scenic environment of Maungatapere, Northland. The event features four race options designed to accommodate participants of various ages, fostering community involvement and encouraging family participation.

Course elements include traversing muddy swamps, navigating rolling hills, and following bush tracks, where participants will encounter various challenges that involve crawling, climbing, balancing, jumping, and splashing. This immersive experience not only tests physical endurance but also promotes teamwork and fun.

As an annual fundraiser for the local Maungatapere school, the event is deeply rooted in community spirit, bringing together families and supporters for a shared purpose. The atmosphere is often lively, with participants celebrating their achievements together at the finish line.
