The Martinborough Skyline Challenge, scheduled for 29 March 2025, is a multifaceted event featuring both running and mountain biking. The event offers a variety of course lengths suitable for varying skill levels. There’s also a scenic walking course and a flat, beginner-friendly course designed specifically for children aged 8 years and above.
The event takes place on land that is usually closed to the public, providing participants with a unique opportunity to explore two historic sheep stations – Huangarua and Puruatanga (now known as Martinborough Station) – as well as the Awatane Farm.
The Martinborough Skyline Challenge is organized by The Martinborough Lions as a community fundraising event. Proceeds from the event go to the Martinborough Volunteer Fire Brigade.
